September!!

Hello everyone and happy September! I'm wondering how you are all feeling heading into this month of new schools, new programs, new friends and hopefully, many wonderful new adventures. I am really looking forward to hearing your tales of summer and fall! As you probably remember me telling you, I moved last spring, so I spent a lot of the summer getting settled in the new house. The picture is me getting rid of the ugly burgundy dining room and turning it a beautiful dijon yellow. It turned out really well! I had a great summer and am looking forward to the new school year - I hope you are too!
Hope to hear from you soon!

Hey, looks like i beat everyone here. I don't really have much to post, as school doesn't start till Tuesday, but it made me happy to find the new alumni blog. I myself am definately looking forward to the new school year, and if i have any interesting stories, now i know where to share them :) Also, best of luck with the renovations Ms Watt, although i think the name "dijon" (as nice as it will undoubtedly look) couldn't have been more aptly named. It looks like you are actually painting with mustard. And now that i have a nice long post that doesn't really say anything, and I don't really know how to wrap it up, I suppose I'll just stop typi

EC - so great to hear from you and I loved your post!
I'll be thinking of all of you tomorrow....you'll see other McQ folks at Cameron, so encourage them to visit the blog, ok? Before we get Area Classes going at the end of the month, I'd love to find a day to come visit over there....i could just meet you in the 'caf' (how cool is that to sit and have lunch with an old - i should say 'former' -teacher@#$%^&*) or, if there is an 'occasion' or other time that you think would suit, let me know...(i could bring treats!!)
Best of luck kieran....come back soon...thanks for writing! How are you getting to school tomorrow?
ps are you on facebook????
bye for n

Hey! Oh, im so happy school started, well, i like my class anyway, met up with some Mcquarrie graduates in drama class and homeroom! Seems like school will be fun, lots of people, lots of to do. Loving the drama activities. Anyway we should think about having a Mcq reunion in the fall, it'd be nice to see everyone!

P.S. Um, ms watt did you know you mentioned a name?

By the way, i need to do a short scene with a partner for an audition, does any one have a suggestion of what scene to do (3-5 min)

Hi CWB! I bought a great book at Stratford last year with famous Shakespearean speeches. Some were for 2. Check your library or Cambridge library - they would probably have books like that. I also bet if you 'googled' drama scenes for partners, you'd get something. Glad you're happy back at school!!! Yes, I realized about the name. First name - probably ok. As long as it's ok with him. I'll be more careful.
Reunion, yes....after I hear from a few more of our gang! All the best - hi to everyone! Thanks for writing!

second day of school...high school is very different but so much fun! I'm just lucky to have lots of people I know in my classes. I'm kinda sad I don't get to see all the McQ people who are at Cameron

Other than that, my pre-AP english class is very promising so far!

Hi! What else to say that someone hasn't already mentioned...well, I like my school...glad to be in with 'acedemic' students who,um,are "up to speed" with the subject...yeah,it's big,it's confusing,it's highschool.
Glad to hear from y'all. (Someone said that in one of my classes today. Thought I'd try it out.)

Hey guys
High School certainly is not anything special. I am at PHS and the work is just as usual as anything else. I think that we should have a reunion

I'm enjoying high school so far....in my enhanced science and geography class we get off of topic a lot, and it's fun!
It's a big difference from being to biggest in the school to the smallest! I feel so small!

we should have a reunion.

Anonymous said...

i feel small too but confident and uh...ready to try my best...especailly in playing the flute which is like really really hard.
